Fiona Flanagan's Fable

Ellen Johnson & John Stowell
Ellen Johnson & John Stowell

Besides loving the poetry of W.B. Yeats and Irish folk melodies I’m convinced that this song is a connection to my Celtic roots. My paternal grandmother’s maiden name was Flanagan so I believe it was an improvised tale resonating from some story that lives in my soul. In my head I heard these beautiful flutes playing a lilting melody and John’s guitar was both harp and strings.
